Wei was not prone to forming emotional attachments to anything or place, but if he had to pick a favorite haunt, the abandoned amusement park would be it. He very much enjoyed the faded plethora of sunbleached colors, the mosaics of shades that attracted his canine, limitedly-visual spectrum. Though the carnival rides and boardwalk-style booths were sun-bleached, sandblasted, and coated in dirt and grime, this place remained one of the most colorful places in the decrepit City. Also, it provided the most interesting obstacles for the dog to play amongst.
Today, what remained of the gaudy striped patterns and florid prints was taking a beating by the brutal sun. Quivering in the heated air, life-size wooden cutouts of cartoon characters, perpetually bucktooth-grinning and goofy-eyed, cast an eerie feel that the park was not quite as abandoned as it actually was. Though normally put off by any tall-statured entities, Wei bypassed these figures with a mere sidelong glance, uttering under his breath,
¡§Good day, Sir Carrot. Hot today, isn¡¦t it, Mr. Whiskers? Old Man Gator, right where I left you.¡¨
Usually undeterred by the summer heat, today it was uncomfortably sweltering even for short-furred, long-legged Wei. This was reflected in his pace, as his gangly limbs swept the dusty ground in hasty arcs, eager to reach his destination. His shoulder blades seemed to undulate in and out of his back, as his head was held lower than his body frame, eyes thoughtlessly idle and narrow ears erect. His destination was the Galactic Cliffs attraction, the biggest and once most popular coaster in the Park. Part of the ride was indoors, housed in a large warehouse-like building with glow-in-the-dark planets and stars suspended from the ceiling and plastered on the walls. Years ago, riders would have felt like they were soaring through the oily abyss of space, lit only by these celestial orbs; today, with the sun pouring in through its half-sunken ceiling and torn up walls, it could have passed for a giant¡¦s nursery. Even so, the building was intact enough to provide suitable shade from the blistering heat
As old Galactic Cliffs drew close, Wei¡¦s pupils flicked up to the top of his auburn eyes, reading the familiar etched sign arched over the ride¡¦s entrance. Suddenly, he was struck by the realization that he really had to pee. Slowing to a halt by the signpost, he lowered his head and inhaled. Seemed it was time for new furnishings. It wasn¡¦t that he was intending on laying any claims to the land¡Xit just so happened that he always had to pee right there. That¡¦s the story he was sticking with. Raising his left hindleg, the mongrel nonchalantly went about his business.

The shade was nice , it offered a cooling refreshed feeling the sun at this moment didnt . A soft brown gaze moved up towards the blistering sun rays that poured through the collasped roof of the amusement park ride . Dust particals floating along making a flurry affect as if it was snow but only visiable when light was casted upon it , this was another sure sign of long term abandonment . The large beast lying in the corner didnt mind the dust nor the filth of the place , the heat was to hot to bare for the long haired mutt , his fur long and poofed out- the normal traits for a tibetan mastiff , though his 'mane' wasnt as big as purebred. The front neck section of fur hung down longer then the rest of the coat around his neck , it colored a black tinted brown color , markings a slight rottweiler formation execpt colored , white,a light tan and brown . These attributes made it hard on the canine in the heat , making him more lazy and prone to lay around for days waiting for a change in weather... it also made him a bit more laidback, for a peaceful dog. Doc sprawled out a bit with a large yawn , his bear like snout pulling back and large tongue lolling out , a bit of drool dripped from the sides of his mouth . After he had his muscles stretched the canine swiped a massive paw over his left ear which was severly mangled and about completely torn off , his other folded, 'floppy' , but completely intact all but a small nick in near the tip. The bugs.. ugh the damn bugs were just complete bastards , them swarming his form landing in the corner of his eyes and inside his ears . Gnats and flys .. always the worse in the heat , this is why the dog perferred the winter. Sitting up , Hollow shook out his matted and dusty fur , sending bugs , drool , and dust particals flying.. It was about midday now , the most cruel time of the day when it came to the sun, with a grunt the mutt inhaled and exhaled quickly in pants to cool himself further , not reluctant to leave his hiding spot .
Little did the dog know someone approached at a quick pace , the closer the other canine drew Doc would pick up on his scent but at this moment , he relaxed in the shadows. A bone on his right from some animal , lay next to the beast , maybe from a past kill or just there from someone leaving it there .. that was for others to find out but Hollow scooped it up in his maul and began to gnaw on it , tail wagging contently.
" Seems someone might be joining me .. good , I enjoy company from time to time .. "

Finishing up, Wei slipped into the cover of the Galactic Cliffs, and immediately signed contentedly as the sun¡¦s lashing rays were quelled from his back. Much less inclined to travel briskly now, he assumed a lackadaisical, swaying gait, noting how great his paws felt on the cool ground. Still, he had one last stop before he would sprawl on his side for his entire body to enjoy the dank floor. About a week ago, the mutt had come across the corpse of a human being feasted upon by a handful of fellow strays. He had departed with a souvenir: a nice humerus, just the right size chewtoy for a medium-sized dog like him. Disliking to travel with luggage, and too lazy to actually bury his prize, Wei simply left it in a dark corner for later use.
Embarking on a beeline for said dark corner, the lanky dog balked when he saw that his bone was not quite in the place where he had last left it. Instead, it seemed to be floating.
Wait, not floating, just being tousled in the paws and mouth of a bear. Wei narrowed his eyes and craned his neck forward, incredulous. It wasn't a bear at all, but a massive, matted, buffalo of a dog, lying there gnawing on his bone. The details of the stranger's appearance were yet shrouded in the shadows, but at the swishing of his tail, Wei decided he was safe enough to approach.
"Oh, herro there," he greeted amicably, feigning mispronunciation though he clearly possessed no accent. He stopped about a yard away, so that he wasn't all up in the other's face. Wei tended to impart a looming sense on others thanks to his disproportionately long legs, even if he wasn't actually taller than them. "You look hot." he said flatly, ignoring the colossal urge to lead into a sexual joke.

The bone grinding against broken , and jagged teeth was dropped to the floor with a few clanks , after have watched the other male slink into the building a few moments and then having the long legged canine approach with a not so formal , but joking and casual tone in his greeting .. well thats what it sounded like to Doc. As the slightly brindled dog , though not yet noticed , loomed before the large mutt , he shifted his position and moved his fur covered form to the floor .
" Hey'a there mutt , howya doin ?, " The beast acknoledged the smaller dog , sprawling his body out with a stretch a few loud cracks of joints could be heard as he did so , showing signs that the dog had not moved for awhile. The word "mutt" was used in a more playful but friendly manner , due to most strays about now werre not purebred .. not many existed anymore. Lips curling into a small 'smile' like facial expression , Hollow gave some deep rumble of laughter .
"I know I am, whats a guy like you wonderin' the streets hittin' on big brutes like me?, " He joked before conituning on to say .. "Come here often , Handsome? . " With a wink , more echos of laughter would come from the dogs throat and out his jaws. Watching the dog momentarily , the mastiff shifted and got up , some drool slipping from the sides of his mouth to the floorboards beneath thier paws , giving yet another light stretch.
" Yeah Yeah , it's pretty hot .. damn weather has been killin meh for days now .. Not so good for'a dog who has fur like me , eh? "

Wei's eyes traced after the bone as it fell, giving a slight twitch when it clattered. "I was looking for that," he mused thoughtfully. He looked on quietly while the hefty animal shifted his weight, almost in awe at how all that fur and bulk were being manipulated. When the beast laughed in his baritonevoice, he really felt like one disturbing a great dragon in its keep. Ah, but with all that weight and shaggy coat, how could he ever hope to fly? At that thought, Wei felt a tinge of regret for the stranger, so important it was to him to be able to run and climb like a spider monkey in the jungle.
"Come here often , Handsome?"
"Yeh, you could call me a local," Wei drawled silkily, returning the wink along with a toothy grin from the corner of his lip. Playing homo was perfectly fine for the secretly homophobic dog, so long as it didn't get out of hand. "I'm surprised you didn't get a mouthful of my musk on that thing," he added blithely, giving a nod at the abandoned bone.
"...Not so good for'a dog who has fur like me , eh? "
"That does suck," he admitted bluntly, shaking his head in sympathy.
As the mastiff mix arose, Wei involuntarily took a step back, heart skipping a beat at the sheer mass that he was facing. The stranger was definitely one of the biggest dogs he had ever encountered, and, by the looks of his scarred face and mangled ear, possibly one of the more wartorn. One of the humans' gladiator dogs, perhaps, an assumption given ground by the bit of chain dangling out from Doc's manelike neck. At this thought, a rush of concern assailed his thoughts. Wei believed it an insult to be associated with humans, and thus masked his curiosity with a more passive question: "You're not a... pack dog, are you?" he inquired, head tilted and eyes squinted in a pretend accusative way. Better a Loner than a pack dog looking to lay claim to his precious abandoned park ride; but better a pack dog than a dirty human's pet.

"I'm surprised you didn't get a mouthful of my musk on that thing,"
The dog's eyes moved to the bone at that moment , something of a smirk glowing on his bear like face . Brown gaze returning to the dog , Doc grunted with amusement .
"Ya Musta missed there fella , need some practice aimin' ? " He teased .
The large mutt then moved a bit closer to Wei , eyes looking over his brindled coat as if trying to decipher what breed he was . The male's audits twitched a bit , surprised by the canines next question , though ignoring for the time being , rusty chain clanking and ticking at his neck as the beast walked with lazy laid-back stride and as he did so Doc seemed to be occupied with kicking the bone about , bored , before turning to face the dog .
" Why ya scared of me ? . . no need to be , justa 'nother stray like you . "
More saliva seemed to trickle from the black , Multicolored shades brown , and white mass of fur .. it wasn't unusual of his breed nor for a big dog , tongue lolling out once again he panted to further cool himself. Hollow then made his way toward the entrance of the ride.
" Know any good place's to get a drink , round' here of course . I ain't walkin that far .. " ( More fail 3: ugh xD I'm so rusty!)

Wei's eye began to twitch again as the other dog backpedaled and subsequently began dribbling the bone between his hind paws. His bone. Ah, well; he wasn't possessive enough to actually voice his concern for the mastiff's blatant desecration of his chewtoy.
"Not scared," he replied a bit defensively, then relaxed when he learned that Doc was just a stray like himself. "Just don't want any pack dogs trying to kick me outta this turf." A dry chuckle slipped from his mouth; he shook his head, then glanced down at the strings of drool that were beginning to collect around the larger mutt. How... pleasant. He felt another pang of sympathy for the overheated Doc, eying the other's tongue heaving limply with every labored breath.
"Well, I usually have to go all the way to Lost Lake for a good drink, but for your sake let's check the Tilt-o-Whirl. There might be some puddles in the cars, leftover from last rain." Letting Doc walk past him, Wei darted to the abandoned bone and gave it a few fervent gnaws, then trotted back alongside the other, feeling quite satisfied.
"My name is Wei. By the way." he informed with mock sternness. Beside the hulking Doc, Wei's gangly-ness was even more pronounced, and as if to make up for this newly-acquired gauntness, the yellow mutt carried his head a bit higher than at its usual lower-than-spine height. As they departed the cover of the shade, he shut his eyes, readying himself for the sun's excessively loving embrace.
[ no worries! I haven't roleplayed in years myself xD ]
