Well, it seems that a couple of us (mainly i) are in a conflict about whether The Stranglehold should be kept as it is, as an "Account Per Character" forum, or change it back to how the first version of The Stranglehold was, back to "Account Per Member". I've been told by a couple of new members that they would rather not join unless we change to APM so it makes me wonder how many other prospective members have been turned off and decided not to join because we're APC. So, before the admins start discussing it seriously, we'd like to see how many members TRULY would rather it be APM over APC.
I know it's kind of late in the game to be debating this, but I'd really like to know how you guys feel. And before you start jumping up and down and saying yay or nay, let's go through some pros and cons
- With APM, we (the admins) can keep better track of points and then you'll actually be able to keep track of how many points you have instead of having them split between every character.
- APC makes TSH more character-oriented
- APM keeps us from wasting time creating new accounts/switching accounts in order to make characters and post with different characters.
- Packs are more organized with the APC system
- APC allows more customization for character profiles
Aside from those, we have to keep in mind the work that would go into changing all of the characters back to your ooc accounts. i.e. lots of tedious copying and pasting and moving of topics. but I'm willing to do it if y'all are. Also, feel free to post with opinions/questions.

I'm going to throw in my opinion So, at first APM seemed more practical. I was sort of reluctant of rejoining until I decided to suck it up and try it. And I gotta say, APC is much, much more fun. It seems to make the boards more about RP, I'm on my IC accounts more frequently than the OOC account (unless of course I'm checking in on mobile). Plus, its not that hard to log out and switch accounts; its no hassle at all. I also like how customizable it is with the pack banners and the individual avatars. Blahblahblahothertypicalopinionstuffyea. I like APM now. If it changed, though, I won't complain.

Time for my shitty opinion.
I would strongly prefer APM. It's a total pain in the ass making and switching accounts, and I really don't see how APC makes a site any more character and RP oriented than APM. I also prefer putting all of my characters into one signature rather than making a separate picture for each character. It's quite bothersome. I can't argue with the pack organization, though.
Overall, I'd say APM is more convenient for everyone.

Mumble's useless opinion:
I honestly don't care either way, but there are ups and downs to APM and APC. I am leaning more towards keeping it APC, mostly because I like that it is more rp oriented as was said earlier, and the only inconvenience for me is switching accounts or accidentally posting ic with my ooc account (almost did that once x3). So, it doesn't matter to me, either way is fine. ;D

I personally think Stranglehold should stick with account per character; I like the organization it gives for individual characters. Not much to debate here; it's a matter of wether APC or APM is more popular with members. Whichever is chosen in the end is fine with me.

I'm new off course but I think every opinion counts. I personally, despite how my own forum is set up, and how one of the two others I'm in is. I enjoy APC. It allows character birthdays, pictures, and names to be shown with the post. As stated before by another person, it allows the forum to be more rp oriented. In fact, I may be giving a reset to my own forum, and I will most likely do the same. So I say it should stay APC!

I haven't been around enough to experience APC but I'm neutral anyway. All the RPs I've been in have been APM so it's getting pretty tiresome. APC seems exciting and fresh for a newbie like me. Honestly, I didn't rejoin the new TSH right away because I was one of those losers that was turned off by APC, but whatever, I kind of like this new twist. I've never roleplayed in this style before and it seems promising.
So yeah. I'm leaning more towards keeping it APC, but over all I'll still plant my feet right here no matter what shit goes down.

I know I'm new here but I think everyone counts me in... I play on two sites right now and both of them are APM. I find this a bit dis-organized, then again I'm freakin' OCD sometimes. Staying APC would be fantastic and would really help some of the members out with keeping track of characters and their activity. But either way it goes I'm all good.

I know, I'm a new member here, but I think Account per Member is much more simple and easier to handle, because multiple accounts lead to several problems:
Forgetting you account name
Forgetting passwords
Frustration of having login, logout, login all of the time.
